The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has announced that great progress has been made in the Tripoli International Airport rehabilitation project, anticipating its opening in the middle of next year.

This came in his speech Monday, at a Ministry of Transport symposium on preparing for the international audit program on Libya in the field of civil aviation, in the presence of a number of ambassadors and diplomatic figures.

Dbeibah added: “Our institutions have embarked on an integrated project to develop civil aviation infrastructure and integrate the Libyan sector into international airspace,” pointing to the development of the VIP lounge at Mitiga International Airport, and the establishment of passenger lounges in other small airports.
