Hundreds of people in Tripoli protested at Martyrs' Square on Friday to show their rejection of what they described the return to the military rule, and to demand a civil state and peaceful transfer of power.

The protesters chanted slogans and raised banners that criticized the United Nations Mission in Libya, the Presidential Council's head, Fayez Al-Sarraj and leader of the so-called Dignity Operation, Khalifa Haftar.

They also stressed their adherence to freedom and justice, accusing the United Nations Mission and its head, Ghassan Salame of working to enable Khalifa Haftar to rule the country.
