A protest took place in Zawiya on Saturday evening, at the city's central square, decrying the worsening living and economic conditions. 

The demonstrators demanded the formation of a unified government in the country and the expulsion of mercenaries and foreign forces from Libyan soil.

The protesters displayed banners calling for better living standards and services nationwide while denouncing corruption and crime, urging justice and accountability.

In a statement, the participants urged an end to transitional phases and all existing legislative and executive bodies, along with the cessation of foreign presence on Libyan territory. 

They advocated for the establishment of a unified government to guide the country toward elections. Additionally, the statement emphasized the need to enhance security and services in Zawiya, combat negative phenomena, and hold municipal elections.
