A helicopter landed in Sirte airport for the first time after four years of suspension, due to the damage caused during the war on the extremist group ISIS in 2015.

Airport director, Salah Bojazia clarified that parts of the airport have undergone maintenance work, including the electrical and telephone cables, as well as cleaning and repairing the main runway, the Libyan news agency reported.
