The Municipal Council of Tarhuna denied on Sunday the reports of an attack by troops based in Tarhuna on the capital Tripoli.
The Council said in a statement that the news circulated by some pages of social networking sites is incorrect, accusing them of attempting to distort the city and spoil the national reconciliation project led by Tarhuna.
The statement said Tarhuna city will not contribute shedding a single drop of blood in Tripoli; yet, it is eager to contribute in building a state of institutions and law and the establishment of a civil state.
