The spokesman of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, issued a statement expressing the Secretary-General António Guterres’ welcome to political declaration that was announced on Tuesday in the French capital Paris between the four Libyan parties hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The statement said that this declaration is an important and positive step towards progress. It also stressed that under the leadership of UN envoy Ghassan Salame, the United Nations would continue to implement the United Nations action plan as supported by the declaration adopted in Paris.
