The US embassador, Richard Norland has reaffirmed the United States’ support for the government's efforts to stabilize the political, economic, and security situation in Libya and pave the way for elections as scheduled in accordance with the roadmap of the Political Dialogue Forum.
This came during his meeting with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, in Tunisia.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the importance of establishing a legal basis for the elections on December 24, and other current developments in Libya, according to the US embassy on Twitter.
