The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration continues to ban US civil aviation operations in Libyan airspace and territory, according to the U.S. Embassy in Libya on Tuesday.

"The decision was made by the Federal Aviation Administration on October 23, due to the ongoing fighting around Tripoli and increased interference by foreign forces and mercenaries which poses the risk to civil aviation," U.S. Embassy explained, pointing out that air traffic at Mitiga airport remains suspended.
