The acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Williams, has welcomed the ‘positive statement’ issued by the President of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj.
In his statement, which was welcomed internationally, Al-Sarraj had urged all parties and political components to urgently resume political dialogue, under the umbrella of UNSMIL.
In a telephone conversation between Williams and Al-Sarraj on Wednesday, the two discussed recent developments in Libya, wherein Williams renewed her appeal to all parties to end the aggression and spare innocent Libyan citizens from the dreadful affliction of war.
