Resigned member of the House of Representatives, Ziyad Daghim, assumed his duties as the ambassador of Libya to the Netherlands, on Tuesday, to succeed the former ambassador, Mar’ai Al-Awami.

The Libyan embassy in the Netherlands said in a statement on Tuesday that Daghim assumed his duties in an official ceremony held at the embassy’s headquarters in The Hague, and was attended by diplomats and politicians.

Daghim stressed the need to continue embassy’s work in the spirit of one team, and moving forward in serving the interests of the Libyan state, working towards the success and development of Libyan-Dutch relations, providing the best services, and helping the Libyan community residing in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
