The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj has ordered the facilitation of procedures to give permissions for peaceful protests as they constitute a right for all people to express their opinions as ensured by the civilian state.

Al-Sarraj's remarks came Tuesday morning in a meeting with Deputy Interior Minister Khalid Mazin, discussing arrangements that guarantee the safety of Libyans as they protest to express their opinions as per the necessary security clearances.

The media office of Al-Sarraj said the meeting went over many issues about the work of the Interior Ministry in security and its responses against the outlaws.

Tripoli has been seeing protests since Sunday in calls for better living conditions and for bringing the corrupt state officials to justice, in addition to calls for ending political division and blockade on oil as well as expelling all foreign mercenaries.
