Prince Mohammed Al-Hassan El Senussi has denied news published by the Italian paper "LaPresse" that said he hired an international lobby to restore monarchy in Libya with him as the King.

"The news is untrue. We are depending on the Libyan people and their movements and we urge the international community to respect the desire and call of the Libyan people." The Crown Prince said.

He added in a statement on his website Friday that the Monarchy can be restored by the will of Libyans only and can never be imposed on them by the will of others, saying he is keen to have good relations with all countries as he cares about the integrity of the Libyan soil, protections of rights, stability, security development and citizenship without isolation of any parties.

LaPresse reported that there had been an international lobby on the ready posture willing to restore Libya's Monarchy and declare El Senussi as the King, whom it said was in contact with some countries and would hold meeting in London, where he lives, for that end.

The Libyan Crown Prince said last April in the third conference of activating independence constitution and return of monarchy that he was ready to take up responsibilities if the Libyan people said so freely and democratically.
