The Director of the Italian "ITA Airways" Andrea Benassi announced arrangements between the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority regarding the resumption of ITA Airways' flights, but he didn't specify the exact date of resumption.
This announcement came during the meeting of the Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, on Wednesday, with the Italian Ambassador Gianluca Alberni, the President of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, the Director of ITA Airways, and the Commercial Attaché at the Italian Embassy.
Al-Shahoubi commended the development of Libyan-Italian relations in all fields, and reviewed the steps that had been taken regarding the arrangements between the Italian and Libyan Civil Aviation Authorities in order for ITA Airways to resume its flights between the two countries.
A high-level Italian delegation conducted a comprehensive tour of Mitiga International Airport, during which it was briefed on the procedures followed there, and the efforts that had been made to ensure aviation safety and security. The delegation included the President of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, and representatives of ITA Airways.
