The Head of the implementation and management of the railway project's authority, Saied Al-Kilani, agreed with the ambassadors of Niger and Chad to form a committee made up of the three countries to study the railway project in all aspects in more depth through technical meetings.

These remarks came during a meeting held on Sunday at the headquarters of the authority in Tripoli, with the two ambassadors to introduce the railway project and study its delivery from Libya to Chad and Niger.

He briefed the two ambassadors on the railway project linking western Libya with its east, passing through the coastal cities, with a double line for passengers and goods at a speed of 250 km / h, as the southern line extending from Al-Hishah in the north to Sabha in the south will be by relevant countries through the Libyan international corridor for transit trade, according to a report by the Libyan News Agency.

Al-Kilani explained that the railway project will significantly contribute to supporting the Libyan and African economies, given that Libya, with its strategic location, will be a vacant and important transport line linking the Mediterranean coasts with Central Africa.
