The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) has lifted force majeure on El Feel oilfield, which was declared on February 23 this year.
"The troubles caused by the demands of Petroleum Facilities Guard in Fizzan region have been resolved and the oilfield will pump 50.000 barrels per day (bpd) in two days and 72.000 bpd in three days afterward.
El Feel oilfield is located in Murzuq - some 200 kilometers to the west of Sabha city. It is run by Mellitah Gas and Oil Company and it is a joint venture between Italian oil giant Eni and the NOC.
The PFG personnel will return to their positions without preconditions and secure the facilities in the oilfield.
"I am very glad for the resumption of oil production in El Feel. I am positive the output will hit its Susan highs very soon." NOC chief Mustafa Sanallah said.
