The Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity confirmed on Monday the arrival of a new batch of growth hormone intended for the treatment of children suffering from growth disorders.
The ministry called on the parents of affected children to visit one of the accredited hospitals or health centers to obtain the medication.
According to the ministry, the medication will be available at the Tripoli Children’s Teaching Hospital, Tripoli University Hospital, Misrata Specialized Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, Zliten Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, and Al-Khums Teaching Hospital.
It will also be available at Al-Zawiya Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, Benghazi Pediatric Surgery and Medicine Hospital, Tobruk Medical Center, Sabha Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, and Ibn Sina Hospital in Sirte.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that parents must visit the listed hospital or health center, bring the child’s national ID number, and update the child’s records to ensure access to the treatment.
