20 displaced people have been injured in a traffic accident near the Libyan-Sudanese border, 12 were reported to be in critical condition.
Two cars carrying approximately 70 displaced people were en route from Sudan to Libya, one of them overturned in the sand dunes, Ibrahim Belhassan, head of the Ambulance and Emergency Service in Kufra told Libyan News Agency (LANA).
The Ambulance and Emergency Service provided first aid to the injured individuals, whose injuries ranged from burns to fractures of the limbs, Belhassan explained.
Efforts were underway to collect the injured and transfer them to the Kufra Teaching Hospital for further treatment, he added.
