UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Sultan Al-Shamsi announced that his country has provided 622 tons of relief aid to Libya, benefited 6,386 families in Libya, since September 12, to mitigate the effects and repercussions of Storm Daniel, according to the Emirates News Agency.

Al-Shamsi explained that the aid included food supplies, shelter materials, and health packages, in addition to first aid supplies, which were distributed in the areas most affected by the repercussions of the disaster, in addition to search and rescue teams equipped with modern equipment that support carrying out difficult tasks.

UAE air bridge to Libya is continuing, as the Emirates Red Crescent team currently in the affected areas is assessing field conditions and studying the current actual needs to provide, he added.
