The Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, said that his country would continue to support the legitimate Government of Nation Accord (GNA) in Libya at ‘all levels’, as opposed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) providing aid to ‘illegitimate’ parties.

Akar confirmed, in a statement on Thursday, that the UAE was involved, along with Haftar, in the bombing of the Military College in Tripoli, in which 30 students lost their lives with a further 33 injured, some seriously, along with several other bombings of facilities.

He said that these files would be opened at the appropriate time and those responsible, regardless of their origins, would be held to account, as he put it.
