Italy remains focused on the developments in Libya, the Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Grimaldi told Vice-President of the Presidential Council (PC), Abdullah Al-Lafi on Monday, reaffirming support for the PC's efforts to achieve stability, leading to elections that all Libyans aspire to, as he put it.
The PC vice-president praised the Italian efforts within the Berlin Group, stressing the PC's support for the initiative of the UN Special Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams and underscoring its importance for laying the foundations for the electoral process.
Ambassador Grimaldi affirmed his country's support for this option, which he says will contribute to the stability of Libya.
