The Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, announced, Tuesday, the imminent opening of the consular section of the Maltese embassy in the city of Misrata.

During his meeting with the Undersecretary of Ministry of Transportation of the Government of National Unity, Khaled Souissi, the ambassador indicated that work is underway to organize a forum for businessmen in January 2024, to develop cooperation in all fields between the two countries.

For his part, Souissi praised the depth of relations and cooperation between the two countries, noting the return of flights between Libya and Malta. 

The ambassador discussed the prospect of returning the commercial and tourist sea line, and the need to activate it as soon as possible, for which Souissi expressed the Ministry's readiness to provide all facilities.
