The Food and Drug Control Centre has revealed plans to launch a national campaign to protect consumers in Libya.

A meeting on Tuesday grouping the head of the Internal Security Agency, Brigadier General Lutfi Al-Hariri, the Chief of the Municipal Guard, Major General Rajab Qatusa, and the director of internal control at the Food and Drug Control Center, Nouri Daoui, discussed steps to start the campaign.

According to the Food and Drug Control Centre, the campaign targets food and drug sales outlets concerning their commitment to the required health standers.

The campaign also includes following up on the implementation of the Ministry of Economy's decision with regard to prices and other issues that protect the consumer.
