Sabha

The Food and Drug Control Centre has reported numerous medical violations at several health facilities in Sabha, south of Libya.

The surveillance team found that expired medicines were being stocked within health facilities. Additionally, the Sabha Educational Centre for Fertility and Assisted Reproduction was found to have breached medical standards, as well as a newly established health centre.

Legal procedures have already been initiated against the violators, who have been notified of the technical violations, the centre confirmed.

The breachers received notification of the technical violations, and legal procedures are already underway, the centre added.

In a related incident, the Food and Drug Control Centre closed several medical laboratories and pharmacies in the Tajoura district, east of Tripoli, earlier this month for alleged violation of health procedures.
