A Libyan national and four Chinese, who entered Libya illegally as infiltrators, were arrested for prospecting gold near the southern border.

As per the statement from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Libyan Intelligence Service's judicial officer tracked four Chinese nationals who were in the country without any proof of their entry through the state's port.

The statement also revealed that the Libyan citizen planned to organize gold mining activities with the assistance of infiltrators from Niger, Chad, and China.
