The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily, has stated that he will be briefing the Security Council on February 27 on developments in Libya, including the progress made on the constitutional framework.

“Over the last two days, I spoke with the head of the High Council of State,  Khaled Al-Mishri and the speaker of the House of Representatives Agila Saleh to underscore, again, how critical it is for the two councils to constructively engage and finalize a constitutional framework to facilitate elections”, Bathily tweeted.

“I notified both that I will be briefing the Security Council on February 27 on developments in Libya, including progress made on this matter”, he added.
