Benghazi’s international stadium has reopened after years of closure with the attendance of global football legends.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially approved the venue just a day before its inauguration, allowing it to host international matches once again, according to local media.

The reconstruction effort, overseen by authorities linked to Khalifa Haftar, has expanded the stadium’s capacity to 40,000 spectators—an increase of 12,000 seats.

The facility now includes nine main entrances, 24 emergency exits, a parking area for 1,500 vehicles, and various essential amenities.
