The Anti-illegal Migration Agency has announced the transfer of 200 migrants from the Qanfuda shelter in Benghazi to the Kufra shelter, in preparation for their deportation to their home countries.

The migrants hold Sudanese and Chadian nationalities, with 47 individuals suffering from illnesses.

This action is part of the coordination efforts between the Authority’s branches to combat illegal migration.

Libya continues to face ongoing challenges in managing migration, with the Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Imad Al-Trabelsi, estimating the number of migrants in the country at more than three million people.
