The Ambulance and Emergency Service has announced that a citizen was seriously injured as a result of a landmine explosion in the Ain Zara region, south of Tripoli.

The Ambulance and Emergency Service confirmed on its Facebook page that the Central Operations Room received a report stating that a landmine had exploded in the Ain Zara area near the Fatima Al-Zahra Mosque.

The citizen had his foot and hand amputated after he was transferred to the Central Hospital on Al-Zawiya Street from the emergency team affiliated with the Ain Zara Ambulance Office.
