Spokeswoman of UN mission in Libya, Sawsan Ghosha, has denied the news circulated on social media pages about the closure of the mission in Janzour district by Fursan Janzour Brigade.
“It’s baseless and the UNSMIL is working normally,” she said in a press statement.
For its part, Fursan Janzour Brigade also denied the closure and explained in a brief statement that it was only security procedures at the UNSMIL gate.
Earlier, social media pages claimed that Fursan Janzour Brigade had closed the UN mission and banned the UN staff from entering their offices.
