The Prime Minister of Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, announced on Wednesday the opening of a project for 207 water wells throughout Libya, implemented through the Executive Authority to drill and maintain water wells.

The wells were distributed over 48 wells in the eastern region, 76 wells in the western region, 37 wells in the central region, 29 wells in the south, and 17 wells in the southeastern region, all with a production capacity of 37,000 cubic meters of water per day.

Dbeibah stressed that many cities and villages suffer from water scarcity, which poses a major challenge for the Libyans to change this reality, adding: “Today we celebrate the return of water to our regions from Kikla to Al-Bayda and Tobruk, and from Kufra, Ubari, and Ghadames to Bani Walid, Al-Jufra, Al-Aziziyah, Tajoura, Tripoli and other cities and regions”.
