The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has called for the reopening of the Libyan-Algerian border crossing, which has been closed for eight years.

This came during his meeting with the  Ghadames Customs Center on Sunday, during which he stressed the strategic importance of the border crossing for both of the countries.

PM Dbeibah conducted a tour inside the Ghadames Customs Center, during which he stressed the necessity of reopening the border to passenger traffic as a second stage, after reopening it a year ago to commercial exchange.
