The Defense and Security Council, chaired by the Presidential Council deputies, Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed on Sunday the military and security situation in the western and Mountain regions. 

According to the PC media office, the meeting included Prime Minister/ Minister of Defence Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Salah Al-Din Al-Nimroush, Head of General Intelligence Service, General Hussein Al-A'ibi, Head of Internal Security Agency, Lt. Gen. Lotfi Al-Harari, and Minister of Interior, Emad Al-Tarabulsi.

The parties reviewed the security and military situation and discussed steps to establish security, with the Chief of Staff tasked to form a force to support security agencies.
