Spokesman for the Protection Force of Sirte Taha Hadid confirmed that Deputy Commander of the force, Colonel Ali Arfaida is recovering, after being shot by unknown persons in the city of Al-Khoms.
A source from Khoms city said that Colonel Arfaida underwent a surgery and was transported in an ambulance to Misurata after his condition was stabilized.
For his part, Hadid demanded in a press statement on Sunday, the security forces in Khoms to open an urgent investigation and clarify the circumstances of the incident.
