The Economic Development Council organized a dialogue symposium, on Tuesday, on rationalizing public spending, in the presence of experts in the Ministries of Economy and Finance and a number of university professors.
The experts addressed the lack of coordination and incompatibility between monetary, financial and trade policies, calling for developing proposals and translating them into recommendations for implementation.
Director General of the Economic Development Council, Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, said that the Council will hold other sessions to reach a set of recommendations, calling for the necessity of coordination between the government and the Central Bank of Libya.
