Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has revealed his intention to visit Libya soon, and the visit may extend to other countries in North Africa.
Erdogan's remarks came Friday during his return from a Gulf tour that included Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates and Northern Cyprus, according to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.
"Developing our relations with Egypt will enhance our economic capabilities," he added, pointing out that he sensed that the leaders of the Gulf countries welcomed the announcement by Turkey and Egypt to raise their diplomatic relations to the level of ambassadors recently.
