Morocco quake

The Libyan Embassy in Rabat says it received no reports of casualties among Libyan nationals in Morocco after the devastating earthquake that struck central Morocco on Friday.

The embassy said it had checked up on the Libyan community in Morocco and assured that no one was harmed by the quake.

It called on those who have concerns to contact the embassy in Rabat for support and advice on a number it published on its Facebook account.

Libyan leaders, including the Presidential Council Head, Muhammed Menfi, and Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, offered their condolences to Moroccan King Mohammad VI following the 6.8 magnitude quake that killed over 2,000 people and injured thousands of others.
