Scouts of Gharyan were joined by their counterparts from Yefren and the Rabita groups in a special parade on Friday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Libyan Scouts and Guides' Founding Day.

This year's celebrations kicked off under the slogan, "Get to know each other, become friends, love each other, and remain faithful to the vows following the footsteps of the ancestors."

The procession went from the Martyrs of Libya School located in the city centre culminating at the Al-Rabita Hotel. The youth movement unfurled the national and scouts' flags, chanting "Allahu Akbar, and singing songs as they paraded towards the Al-Rabita Hotel, where they lit the scouts' torch.
