The Chairman of the Board of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, met on Sunday with the Director of the United States Agency for Development (USAID) office in Libya, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting comes within the framework of the international community’s support for the democratic process in Libya, and to determine the level of the HNEC readiness to implement the elections of municipal councils, and to inquire about the type of support that USAID can provide.
The USAID representative praised the efforts made by the HNEC to provide ideal conditions for holding the upcoming elections, stressing that international support for these efforts continues to achieve the elections in accordance with the highest international standards.
