Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has expressed his country's desire to establish diplomatic relations with Libya, referring to the appointment of an ambassador to represent Tehran in Tripoli.
“Libya is important to us, as we have chosen an ambassador to represent Iran's embassy, hoping that diplomatic relations will be established between us soon”, Kanaani said in a press conference, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA.
