Libyan ambassador to Iran

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has accepted the credentials of Libya's new ambassador to Tehran, Ali Fadil, according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency on Monday.

Raisi said, during his meeting with the new Libyan ambassador to Iran, that the problems of Libya and some Islamic countries are "caused by the presence and interference of foreigners," hoping that the intervention in this country will end by creating conditions for holding national elections and forming an inclusive government.

He also expressed his hope that the period of the Libyan ambassador's mission will be the new period for development of relations between Iran and Libya.

Raisi referred to the good capabilities in Iran and Libya that would contribute to expanding bilateral relations between the two countries as soon as possible while establishing stability and peace in Libya. He stressed the need to exchange these capabilities in order to improve the level of interaction between the two countries.

The new Libyan ambassador to Iran reaffirmed that the two Muslim countries, Libya and Iran, have a lot in common with each other, calling for serious strengthening of trade and economic cooperation in light of their possession of the various capabilities.
