The Italian Embassy in Libya announced the landing of an additional plane carrying aid to the city of Derna and the areas affected by Storm Daniel.

The embassy said in a statement through its account on X platform on Friday that the plane landed in Benghazi, coming from the United Nations rapid intervention base in the Italian city of Brindisi.

After the disaster occurred on September 10, the Italian Red Cross sent rescue and emergency vehicles to Libya, in addition to high-capacity water pumps and other relief materials. The Italian Navy ship San Marco also arrived in Libya days after the storm, carrying 100 tents complete with Beds and sleeping bags capable of hosting a thousand people.
