The Joint Operations Force has announced the arrest of who it described as one of the most notorious and dangerous drug traffickers who had been on the run from prison since 2008 after being sentenced in 1995 to life imprisonment on charges of drug possession.
The force explained that the accused uses his home as a major center for promoting and using narcotic substances, and his criminal record also indicates that he has international relations in the field of drug and psychotropic substances trade.
It also seized large sums of money estimated at more than one and a half million dinars, which he had in his possession during his arrest, and large quantities of narcotic substances, in addition to a large quantity of plant seeds suspected of being used to produce narcotic substances, according to the force.
