The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury, confirmed in her first meeting with Khalifa Haftar that the mission was working to create the appropriate conditions for holding elections and that it is in the process of holding more talks and consultations to advance the political process, according to what was reported by the Media Office of the Command of Haftar’s forces.

Haftar met Sunday Koury in his office in Rajma area in Benghazi and her accompanying delegation in the presence of his office director, Khairy Al-Tamimi, and a number of his political and military advisors.

Haftar's media office said that Haftar expressed during the meeting his support for the efforts made by the UN mission to achieve progress in the political process and reach consensual solutions that lead to holding presidential and parliamentary elections.
