Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has discussed with the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti, currently visiting Libya, the mechanism for activating the joint friendship treaty between the two countries.
They also discussed developments of the Libyan-Italian joint committee meeting, which was held last month in Italy, and what the two sides reached regarding the contractual procedures for the Emsaed-Ras Jedir Road project.
It is to be noted that the Friendship Treaty was concluded by the two countries on August 30, 2008, with the aim of developing special bilateral relations, demonstrating good faith, and closing the file of the damage caused by Italy during its occupation of Libya.
