The Libya-Southern Europe Electrical Interconnection Committee, which operates under the Government of National Unity, recently convened in Rome with Giuseppina Di Foggia, the head of the Italian Electricity Company.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Protection, as well as the Italian Electricity Company.
As per the Renewable Energy Authority, the gathering featured a series of proposals from the Renewable Energy Authority aimed at making Libya a central player in energy transfer between Africa and Europe while tapping into the vast resources of renewable energy.
The Libyan delegation underscored the necessity of intensifying such meetings and extended an invitation to the Italian side to attend the next session, which will be hosted in Libya.
