Libya has restored its right to vote within the International Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and participated in choosing the new Director-General of the organization, after its participation was suspending for years.

This came after participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Hussein Al-Qatrani, in the meetings of the 43rd session of the General Conference of the International Food and Agriculture Organization “FAO” in the Italian capital, Rome.

The Hakomitna platform indicated that the decision to restore the right to vote to Libya came as a result of extensive meetings that Al-Qatrani carried out with his counterparts, during which he discussed with them ways to support the Libyan position in order to restore the right to vote for the country.
