Libya's chess champion Yousif Hasadi has won the 22nd under fourteen, Alexandria International Youth Championship for the second time in a row.

270 players participated in the tournament coming from a mix of nationalities including Libya, Egypt and Sudan. Hasadi climbed the ranks towards his now placement of 1828 in the international rankings, up 33 points from his previous ranking.

Hasadi has had good results in his previous competitions, including the Arab bronze in Tunisia and the Marsa Matrouh chess championship in 2016 and 2017.
