The General Union of Air Transport announced in a letter to the Director General of Misrata International Airport that employees of the Libyan company for Ground Handling Services at Misrata Airport have decided to begin a strike, which will result in the complete shutdown of the airport as of Sunday, September 17.
The strike will commence as a result of salaries not being paid for 16 months according to the letter.
