The National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the Algerian Sonatrach company held a meeting on Monday at the NOC HQ in the capital, Tripoli.
The meeting discussed Sonatrach's completed projects in Libya during the year 2023, and the proposed programs and budget for 2024, including seismic survey programs, exploratory drilling, and geological and geophysical studies.
On November 7, Sonatrach announced lifting the state of force majeure on the plots granted to it in Libya, saying that it had made four gas discoveries in the contractual area 96/95 in the Ghadames Basin.
