The Union of Oil and Gas Workers said that Libya’s oil is the source of livelihood for all Libyans and should be removed from all political, regional and tribal disputes, stressing that oil is the property of all Libyans.
The union also stressed in a statement that the National Oil Corporation recognized internationally in Tripoli is the only legitimate authority authorized to produce and sell oil.
The statement also stressed the respect for all contracts concluded between the National Oil Corporation with partners in production and investment, expressing support for the efforts of the Chairman of the NOC, Mustafa Sanallah, in order to maintain a unified and impartial institution to achieve national reconciliation.
